Lahore resolution in 1940 was Passed, and Minar-e-Pakistan was constructed to commemorate that event in the form of a tall minaret in Iqbal Park. 23rd March is celebrated as Pakistan day and a national holiday for people. Minar-E-Pakistan is one of the most famous historical buildings in Pakistan, which is located in Lahore. It is open for the general public to visit.  It was designed by Nasiruddin Murat Khan who was a Russian born Pakistani civil engineer. The material used for the construction was reinforced concrete, and floors have stones and marbles. The famous “SHAHI QILA,” also known as Lahore fort. This historical monument was constructed between 1556-1605. Building

It evolves the following procedures.

Documents Required

  • Application addressed to Director Building Control, requesting for the issuance of Completion Certificate. Download
  • 2 x-colored photographs (size 6” x 4”) on photo paper of house/building (front elevation) and in case of corner plot two additional photographs of side elevation will be submitted.
  • 2 x sets of approved drawings (ammonia prints).
  • Photocopy of paid challan for Rs.4000/- (Completion Certificate Fee).
  • 1 x Photocopy of Computerized National Identity Card of the Owner / Attorney.
  • Photocopy of Building Control Branch letter already issued indicating Opening of Sewerage on a particular date.

Procedure Required for Building

  • The criteria required to purchase a building in DHA is as.
  • Apply along with the required documents to the Customer Services Officer (Building Control Branch Representative).
  • An acknowledgment signature will be given after the submission of the documents.
  • All of the members who have made changes/deviations from the approved Building Drawings / Plans should submit the revised Building Drawings / Plans to regularize the construction before applying for the Completion Certificate.
  • On receipt of the Completion Certificate application, DHA field staff will inspect the House / Building. If it is as per the approved building Drawing / Plan and has no construction violation, a Completion Certificate will be issued, or observations will be communicated through Building Control Branch.
  • No Transfer of House / Building will be processed even on HIBA without obtaining a Completion Certificate.

Residents of DHA

Residents can lodge the following requests through E-Mail or signed requests on plain paper.

  • DHA Boundary Wall.
  • Facilities (Parks, Public areas, etc.).

Genitors Replacement in DHA

Residents can lodge the request for generator placement through E-Mail or signed request on plain paper. 12 working days are required for generator placement. Following documents are to be prepared:

Generator Placement in Commercial Building-

  • No Objection Certificate from owner/tenant.
  • Stability Certificate from a qualified structural engineer.
  • Undertaking / Affidavit on Rs 50/- Stamp Paper by owner/tenant to compensate for damage and remove generator on DHA directions.
  • Generator Set 25 – 100 KVA for 4-8 Marla.
  • Generator Set 100 – 400 KVA for 16 Marla and above.
  • In a Commercial building, the generator is to be placed on the rooftop.
  • A properly constructed soundproof canopy is to be placed on the generator set.
  • The generator set will be used as a standby source only.
  • Only diesel generators are recommended.

Generator Placement in Residential Building

  • A generator set may be installed in the basement / front lawn 5 ft away from the common boundary wall.
  • The generator set must be installed with a soundproof canopy.
  • The maximum capacity of the generator is 25 KVA.
  • The generator set will be used as a secondary electric supply source while using a primary supply from WAPDA / LESCO.

Road Maintain Requirements

Residents can lodge the following requests through E-Mail or signed request on plain paper.

  • Road Repair.
